This is version 2.0 of the "Pappy Dogs" recipe created by Daddy Bob's Barbecue in Angier, North Carolina. They cooked and simmered Bright Leaf Red Hots in their very own Eastern North Carolina BBQ sauce. We made our own version and used Homegrown North Carolina Cackalacky pepper sauce! Both recipes are fire!
Ingredients:
- (1) 1 lb Pack of Bright Leaf Red Hots
- (1) Jar of Cackalacky Secret Sauce

Cooking Instructions:
- Simmer Bright Leaf Red Hots in Cackalacky Sauce for one hour
- Toss the Red Hots on the grill and char them up
- Finish it by drizzling some of the extra sauce from the simmering pot over the Red Hots on the grill
- Enjoy!
