If you've been to the North Carolina State Fair, then you know you can fry just about anything. The fair has everything from fried Oreos to fried Twinkies. So why not deep fry Bright Leaf Hickory Smoked Bacon?
Ingredients:
- 1 Pack of Bright Leaf Bacon
- Slap Ya Mama Cajun Seasoning, Hot Sauce and Fish Fry
- Whole Milk
- Heavy Whipping Cream
Find stores that sell Bright Leaf Bacon and the rest of the ingredients you need.
Cooking Instructions:
- Add 1 cup of Whole Milk and 1/2 cup of Heavy Cream
- Add Slap Ya Mama Cajun Seasoning, I used approximately 1-2 tsps
- Add Slap Ya Mama Cajun Hot sauce, add to your preferred heat index.
- Cut Bright Leaf Bacon in half
- Soak bacon in milk/seasoning mixture for about 10 minutes
- Pull bacon from milk, shake, and dip in Slap Ya Mama Cajun Fish Fry
- Fry in dutch oven in heated vegetable oil (or your favorite cooking oil). ENSURE oil is hot enough.
- When bacon starts to float, it is almost ready, 30-60 seconds more depending on how crispy you want the bacon.
- Enjoy the deep fried bacon goodness!
