Celebrate the 4th of July with a unique red, white, and blue dish! We've made an American Flag by combining North Carolina Bright Leaf Hot Dogs, known for their red color, locally sourced and fresh, with blue chips and patriotic star-shaped cheese. Happy 4th of July!
Ingredients:
- (1) 2lb. Pack of Bright Leaf Hot Dogs
- 13 - 16 Hot Dog Buns
- Picnic Table Cloth
- Blue Chips
- White American Cheese Slices
- Star Cookie Cutter

Cooking Instructions:
- Preheat a medium heat pan and add a small amount of oil.
- Place the hot dogs in the pan and cook on one side for 4-6 minutes.
- Turn the franks and cook for another 4-5 minutes until they have black charred lines (indicating they're done).
- Prepare your table by covering it with a picnic tablecloth.
- Open the buns and arrange 5-6 buns in two rows and 3-4 buns in one row.
- Place the cooked hot dogs inside the buns.
- Take some blue chips and fill the top left corner of the table to resemble a blue square.
- Use star-shaped cookie cutters to create cheese stars and place them on the blue chips.
- Enjoy your delicious hot dogs, and have a happy 4th of July!
