Bright Leaf Lava Bites (Hot Dogs)

Ingredients:

• (1) 2 lb Bag of Bright Leaf Hot Dogs plus (1) 1 lb. Bag of Bright Leaf Hot Dogs
• 1 Quart Jalapeno Peppers drained. "Save liquid" - (Diced or Sliced). If you want it hotter, add another quart of drained jalapeno peppers.
• 1/2 Pint of Oil (I use Canola Oil).
• 1 Cup of Apple Cider Vinegar.
• 1 1/2 Cups of Sugar.
• (1) 32 oz. Bottle of Ketchup.
• 1 Large Sweet Onion, halved and sliced 1/4 inch thick. (optional)

Cooking Instructions:

1. Turn stove on medium low heat and grab a pot.
2. Add oil, apple cider vinegar, sugar, and ketchup to the pot and stir often.
3. Bring to a boil for 5 minutes.
4. Cut Bright Leaf hot dogs in bite-size rings and add to the pot.
5. Add a jar of drained jalapeno peppers and sliced sweet onion to the same pot. Stir often and cook for 8 minutes.
6. If not spicy enough, add some of the reserved jalapeno liquid.
7. Serve while hot. It can be put into a slow cooker to keep warm.
8. This dish can also be put into jars and kept in the refrigerator.
