Fried Cabbage and Smoked Sausage

Ingredients

1 head of cabbage
1 stick of butter
1 tablespoon of bacon grease
salt and pepper
onion powder
one large onion chopped
Bright Leaf smoked sausage.

Directions

Place stick of butter in large frying pan and melt.
Add entire cabbage chopped up.
Add large onion chopped up.
Add bacon grease on top.
Sprinkle salt, pepper,and onion powder on top.
Let cook for about 10 minutes on medium heat.
Cut up desired amount of Bright Leaf Smoked Sausage in round pieces.
Add to cabbage and stir up.
Put on lid and cook for about 45 minutes or until cabbage is done to desired tenderness.
Stir often.
Great served with fried cornbread fritters!
